With Christmas over, I am just now getting around to telling everybody thank you. Sorry that I haven't sent out Thank You cards. I just don't get the whole concept... do you have to send a thank you card for everything? And then do you have to send someone a thank you card for the thank you card? What do you say? "Thank you for the Thank You card." ::licks envelope:: Send that off... and then "Oh I got your Thank You for the Thank You card, so just wanted to say Thanks." "Hey thanks for thanking me for thanking you for the thank you card I originally thanked you with. Thanks again." A verbal thank you and a hug should be plenty. Sometimes it also sounds stuck up after you give somebody a compliment. "Your hair looks fantastic." "Oh thank you, I know." That's when I want to take it back... that's when I say, "Oh no, I mean your hair looks fantastic... even with all that oil in it." Have you ever given someone a compliment like on a shirt or something and they give you a whole history on it? "Oh that's a nice shirt." "Oh this? Oh it was on sale at Macy's. I was shopping for an iron... it doesn't even fit... I found it in the children's department... it gives me bad body odor... my boyfriend doesn't even touch me anymore." Have you ever complimented someone and they just want to give it to you? "That's a nice dog." "Take it." "What?" That's the kinda person you wanna know if you ever need a transfusion or something. "Hey did I ever tell you that I love your bloodtype?" Some people can't even take a compliment. "Oh those are pretty eyes." "Oh these? They're old... one has a stigmatism and the other one just wonders... I'm not even looking at you right now..."
