The other day someone said, "I don't know how you do it... I don't know how you put so much random stuff on your voicemails and blogs... " And I've never really thought about it... I'm a little scared now. I haven't put that much thought into it. That's the number one fear: public speaking (second only to the fear of frogs). A lot of people are scared of frogs! Public speaking is a scary thing. When I was a little kid, I was scared of the escalator... because it kept moving and kinda folded into each other so I'd stand there waiting and waiting and then my mom would have to lift me up and onto the floor. Now I'm scared of Escalades. Those are way too big. And scared of the ice capades as well. What's a capade? People are scared of balloons... the whole concept of a balloon is crazy to me... lets take a thin piece of rubber and blow into it... keep blowing... keep blowing... okay it's getting thinner and thinner... okay keep blowing and blowing and there it's about full... oh one more blow... then tie it up and hang around like fire on a cake. Isn't that crazy? So for someone to be scared of balloons, you'd think there was some childhood accident with balloons and cake. I think there are a lot of fears... like being scared of sharks. That's a justifiable fear. Everyone should be scared of sharks. If you're not scared of sharks, then something is just wrong with you. Some people are scared of feathers... some people pay to get tickled by feathers. ;-)
