There are people... the people who succeed are more likely to have hobbies. There was a big study...not a big study... it was a questionnaire...okay, I asked around at a party... but I asked people and a lot of people have hobbies. So I ask myself, "Who has time for all of these hobbies?" I mean, when you're younger, there's time. You get home around 3 and you can go play baseball... or hide and seek... or build a model... or dress up as a model... (I used to pretend I was a model airplane). When you're older, you don't have time for hobbies. You get home from work and by the time you feed your youngins or critters there's just enough time to read my blog and go moisterize. I don't know how the presidents do it. Every president that I've seen plays golf. I don't have time to play golf. So I started thinking... could it be? Is it possible? Am I busier than the president? So I did some research... there's all sorts of hobbies... people play golf... people play tennis... people collect things... I don't collect anything.... well I collect parking tickets, evidently... stamps... people collect stamps... I used to collect stamps... like when you go into a bar and they stamp your hand... I had many of those... some people collect coins and knitting is a big thing now. There are knitting clubs across the country and in school they're teaching it because it helps with concentration. Even boys are knitting now which is great because they are knitting their own football jerseys. You're expected to have a hobby. On job applications, there's a spot that asks for your hobby and, just from my own experience, don't write down "Drinking Wine" because that won't get you anywhere. Anyway, I think they ask so they know where to find you when you call in sick. I dunno. Happy Holidays to everybody.
